President of JapaneseStyle

Hello, thank you very much for visiting us.

The number of tourists visiting Japan in FY2006 will exceed 24 million, with 40 million people expected in 2020 where the Tokyo Olympic Games will be held and it is on an upward trend. There are also many repeaters. Inbound maret is a growing and cultural attention to Japan is high.

I have opened an office in Yoyogi Shibuya-ku (near the south exit of Shinjuku station) since 2011, and have been engaged in management consulting and administrative scrivener business. Shinjuku station is Japan’s largest (not only in Japan, also world’s largest!! indeed) terminal station boasting 3 million passengers a day(!), and many foreign tourists use it, I found a foreigner who got lost in front of the station and asked a guide I did it. In the past few years there has been a change in the content of the questions received, and in the past “I want to go to the Observatory for the Tokyo Metropolitan Government” “Where is the Shinjuku Gyoen?” “Can
I walk to Meiji Jingu Shrine?”, recently it has become detailed contents such as “I want to go to the sword museum(!)”, “I want to go to the Teppanyaki restaurant in downtown” “Is this ramen shop delicious?”, and the height and depth of interest in Japan. I began to feel the fineness. Also, when chatting in the way and talking about shopping through town guidance, foreigners seeking Japanese cultural products such as bowls, bowls, chopsticks and green tea as souvenirs also increased. I have witnessed the strength of affection for Japanization and asked “What about Japan?” “Do you like Japan?” “What do you think about Japanese culture?”, everyone says “great” “I love everything!”. The reaction comes back.

However, on the other hand, there is a point that it misunderstood the California role of sushi as “Japanese sushi”, and I realized that it is necessary to make efforts to convey not only simple things but also “right thing” there. Therefore, selling overseas “the best authentic” such as representative Japanese culture and traditional crafts, along with a guidebook (catalog) to explain the product culture, spread the wonderness of Japanese culture correctly to the world. We are trying to improve the position of “craftsmen” to “artist”, and create a “circle of Japanese culture love abroad”.
